The EncloSure™ Enclosure Lid System replaces the original mesh lid with a rigid frame and premium cast acrylic, delivering controlled ventilation while preserving exceptional optical clarity. You get a clean, unobstructed view into the enclosure without glare, distortion, or visual clutter.

Designed specifically for Zoo Med Creatures™ 12″ × 12″ enclosures, this lid installs cleanly into the factory frame and features the EncloSure™ Positive Lock System — a spring-driven latch that replaces traditional flex tabs for a more consistent, reliable hold.

As the lid is seated, the latch is guided into position, compresses, and then engages behind the enclosure frame. This creates a controlled, repeatable locking action without relying on material flex, reducing wear and maintaining consistent engagement over time.

Unlike mesh lids that dry enclosures unevenly and block visibility, EncloSure™ allows you to select the airflow level that matches the habitat while maintaining the refined appearance of a glass-top enclosure.

Venting Options

All EncloSure™ lids are available with the following ventilation configurations:

No Vent  
Solid cast acrylic panel for maximum humidity retention and minimal airflow. Ideal for high-humidity species and sealed environments.

Low Vent  
Reduced airflow to maintain elevated humidity while allowing limited air flow.

Medium Vent  
Balanced airflow suitable for general-use enclosures and mixed humidity requirements.

High Vent  
Increased airflow for species requiring lower humidity or faster moisture exchange.

MAX Vent (+$10 extra)  
Extreme ventilation configuration designed for highly ventilated or dry environments. Additional cost over other ventilations.

If you’re unsure which option to choose, Medium Vent is recommended for most applications.

Clarity & Viewing Experience

Premium cast acrylic provides superior optical clarity compared to mesh or low-grade plastics, allowing uninterrupted viewing of animals, plants, and enclosure details. There is no screen pattern and no visual barrier between you and the habitat.

This enclosure lid is designed for ambient-temperature use only and is not intended to support heat lamps, ceramic heat emitters, or UV/UVB lighting.

Minor movement or flex of the acrylic panel is normal and does not affect performance or fit.
